IBITS
Irvington Baptist In Touch Sisters
The IBITS (Irvington Baptist In-Touch Sisters) is a mission-minded group of ladies that grew out of the Church’s Women’s Missionary Union. The group formed in September 1995 with 7 women and today has a membership of 31. For the past 24 years, these ladies have faithfully met the first Tuesday of every month. The group is dedicated to Bible Study, Prayer, Service and Fellowship. Over the years, they have partnered with the American Cancer Society, the March of Dimes, The Haven, The Northern Neck Free Health Clinic, The Lancaster County Virginia Educational Foundation, The Fluvanna Women’s Correctional Center, The Lancaster County Youth Club, The Northern Neck YMCA, and many other charitable organizations locally and abroad. They also provide many opportunities for fellowship within their Church Family as they host such events as luncheons, an annual Fall Festival, an annual Easter Egg Hunt, baby showers, bridal showers, to name only a few. Any lady is welcomed and encouraged to join this sisterhood.
